The Food Standards Agency has published some new guidance for Village Halls and other Community/Charity events that serve food on an occasional basis, (less than once a month) and the need to register. if the event requires complex food safety control and considerable organisation, and especially if serving to vulnerable groups, which may require additional risk controls, the activity must be registered with the Environmental Health Department of the local Authority. Otherwise registration is not necessary.
