Changes to the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) (TUPE) Regulations will be put before Parliament in December 2013 with a view to publishing in January 2014. They include alterations to the TUPE Regulations which will mean that redundancies as a result of a change in the location of the workplace will not automatically be considered unfair. Also, when there is no recognised independent Union, micro businesses will inform employees of a transfer that will directly affect them.
